a weekend in chicago.

over the weekend we spent some time exploring one of our favorite cities: chicago! this trip was especially great because it was the first time we got to see each other in three months! chicago was the perfect place for our reunion. it was an amazing weekend full of exploring, laughing and overeating.

a reunion on rush street! we were just a little excited to see each other for the first time in 94 (!!) days.

it wouldn't be a trip to chicago without a stop at giordano's. if you're looking for some good chicago style pizza, giordano's is your place.

an early saturday lunch at ralph lauren.

sprinkle's has the right idea with their cupcake atm machine.

perfect on a cold day in the windy city.

a dark michigan avenue before the festival of lights.

dinner in the lobby of the ritz carlton hotel. we loved getting to watch the lighting of the tree in their beautiful lobby, as well as listening to all of the christmas music. it's never too early to start celebrating!

you never know who you'll meet in an elevator!

finishing off our long day with netflix and cheesecake in bed.

we had one goal in mind on our sunday...

you never fail to disappoint us, shake shack.

what are your favorite things to do in chicago?

xoxo.

nyc. {part 3}

one last day in the big apple...
and we were not ready to waste a second of it. we continued our exploration through many famous nyc sites, like central park and rockefeller center. we even made it to the top of the rock! we had the time of our lives on our trip to nyc. it's such a huge, exciting city that always leaves you wanting more. we are already planning our next trip! nyc, you were too good to us.

our beautiful hotel, the new york palace! this location should look familiar to gossip girl fans.

we started our day at sarabeth's central park south for breakfast. the location was amazing for people watching! we both highly recommend the french toast or pancakes.

we headed right across the street to experience central park. with a day as beautiful as that, we were definitely not disappointed.

quite the view!

rockefeller center.

the top of the rock! no complaints about that incredible view.

the concrete jungle.

i mean...

we got ourselves lost in abc carpet and home. so much to see in that place.

pizza & exploring in chelsea market- another place with so much to see!

we will hopefully see you very soon, nyc!

nyc. {part 2}

day two in nyc was a whirlwind.
we had quite a few places in mind that we wanted to check out. as you'll probably be able to tell from below, quite a few involved food. a lot of our day was spent shopping in some of the incredible stores new york has to offer. in addition to that, we also got to experience some famous nyc places like the plaza hotel and little italy.
good morning, nyc!

we took a peek inside saint patrick's cathedral. unfortunately it is in the renovation process, but still absolutely beautiful.

couldn't help but think of home alone 2 & eloise.

the iconic plaza hotel.

the macaron's we got from laduree were impossible to beat.

lunch in tribeca!

back to soho to shop. we couldn't resist stopping in dash.

a stop in soho's georgetown cupcake! to say this trip satisfied our sweet tooth would be an understatement.

the incredible monument at ground zero and a look at the beautiful freedom tower.

dinner in little italy. and so the food coma continues....

we couldn't leave nyc without getting cheesecake.

back to the hotel absolutely exhausted- only a sign of a day well spent.

nyc, you are absolutely perfect.
