links i love. {born to travel}

photo from this article

i often see tons and tons of people sharing links to articles on their facebook pages. most of the time, i simply keep scrolling through my feed, never really stopping to even read them. however, a few weeks ago, i saw one that really stuck out to me. the article was titled: 17 signs you were born to travel. out of curiosity, i clicked the link and was pleasantly surprised with what i found. the article definitely made me smile, as i could really connect with everything they included on their list.

i immediately shared it with mary grace, and knew i wanted to share it on here, too. it definitely goes along with the theme of our blog so i thought it would help bring a smile and inspire some wanderlust to our readers, just like it did to me.

have a great day!

snowpocalypse chicago.

temperatures have seriously dropped here in chi town! of course, we always seem to have weather on the cooler side, especially during winter time (i mean, c'mon, this is the windy city), but the past two weeks have tested our love :). just kidding, we'll always love you, chicago.

the snowpocalypse arrived on february 2, blanketing the city with a thick layer of beautiful white snow and gifting us with plummeting temps. a couple of friends and i made the trek to ann sather's diner for a snowy brunch and quickly warmed up with delicious food and ginormous cinnamon rolls.

i'm on a college campus, but once the inches of snow fell we all transformed into little kids. snowy days are always so magical, even if you're bundled up in more layers than you can count. temps have continued to stay pretty low since the snowpocalypse hit and i think we've officially hit the coldest part of chicago's winter yet, but we are having so much fun :)

here are a few pics of this beautiful place...

^^i mean, with this kind of campus??? i just have to brag.^^

^^enjoying the piles of snow that amounted to heights taller than us.^^

wherever you are, stay warm!!

an afternoon at the saint louis art museum.

last month, while we were still home for winter break, we took a spontaneous sunday afternoon trip to the saint louis art museum. if you haven't been, we both highly recommend it. it's the perfect place to spend a morning or an afternoon wandering around, admiring the incredible art it has to offer.

the saint louis art museum is located in the amazing, historic forest park which contains many must-see saint louis destinations like the zoo, history museum, muny and the jewel box. forest park opened in 1876 and became home to the 1904 world's fair, so it's an area full of history. the art museum in particular has added a new modern edition, giving visitors the best of both worlds.

below are a few photos from our visit to the art museum. enjoy!

^^ it's always fun looking for these birthday cakes in many well-known stl destinations to celebrate saint louis' 250 years. ^^
